I’m all for DIY. As a freelancer (3 Penguins Design & Photography), I can’t afford all the gear that I need for my shoots. I suppose I could rent, and sometimes that is the best option. But when I find a DIY that works, that’s the route I go.
That being said, I’m not entirely sure about this DIY camera dolly – just yet. But, it’s so inexpensive I have to give it a try.
In this video, Image Now Entertainment uses Furniture Sliders (Amazon) along with a tripod. My only concern here is how smooth this will be. Can you create a smooth, consistent movement with this type of dolly. I guess I’ll find out.
